Any women in Edinburgh with young children recovering from mastectomy?

morning lilac!

Ill be there and I think Lilacblushes and myself will be travelling in together

yes red lenses - I’ve heard all the John Lennon and Elton John jokes in the 6 years since I got red lenses in my glasses… I have very light sensitive eyes so need a tint, the optician I got my glasses from did a lot of work with kids who had dyslexia etc and he tested me on the colour machine to find out what was the most appropriate shade and colour for my sight - red came out tops so red is what I got!

Ails - a lift would be great if it’s still on offer. Will PM you my email address so we can make arrangements.

nice one Lilac! Dead cool. My daughter has yellow lenses for dyslexia!

ok - I’llo be in brown linen, with a leapord print top under a brown shirt and a leopard print scarf. I don’t know where I’ll get a carnation, but I’ll try!

Same sort of idea Sue - I have dodgy eyes and sort of see things like writing with a sort of shadow behind it … now no laughing but when I got these lenses and everything came into sharp focus and I asked my Mam if everyone saw things this solid … I was approx 34 at the time and had never known things to have sharp edges.

Now - I’ve consulted back up the page and we both said aim for Tuesday 15th … which according to my calendar is not tomorrow but NEXT tuesday … today is the 7th … so if you are planning to stand about outside a pub from 7.30pm tomorrow night you may have a long wait … take sandwiches love.

Like my son’s double vision - he was 16 when he asked if I had to shut an eye to read things! He used to get 2 or 3 migraines a week. Since his op he has only had 2 or 3 migraines in total - in about 6 months! And he can read with both eyes open!!!

When asked why he didn’t mention it sooner he said “I thought everybody saw like this”

well when it’s always been like that then u think it’s normal

Hi All
I can make next Tuesday evening too - will we be staying at the Dome or going elsewhere? I’ve only ever been in the cocktail bar just inside the place, very nice it was too

Kate

Great to hear that there is another one joinging in - I’ve no idea about where we will stay or move on to cos I know nowhere in Edinburgh … I’m happy to go with the flow.

I think we can meet up at the Dome and just see where the wind blows us. Some are in the middle of treatment so may wish an early night . Some may want to go Clubbing!! lol

now if it was last Tuesday after my isotope scan you could have taken my clubbing for free cos as a glo-stick

I’m not clubbing…am knackered! Yeah. let’s just see where the wind blows us, I’m hoping back to my beddybyes before too late at night. I’m ugly enough now and at midnight I change into an ogre!!!
