Hi Kirstie, thanks for replying, so you have finished all your treatments now & just got tablets to take, was you on FEC-T? How did you cope? I’m only 39 & finding it really hard! thanks for giving me the time to speak xxx
Hi Julie, nice to hear from you, I’m 39, live in bromsgrove & having the FEC-T treatment myself , had the 2nd course on mon so still feeling a bit rough myself at the moment! It’s the damn steroids that get me!
I know what you mean about having family & friends to talk to but as you said unless somebody going through this horrible ordeal they don’t know what we feel like.
So are the side effects supposed to be worse on the T part? & I didn’t realise they tell you if chemo isn’t working, another scarey thought.
My daughter lives in Wolverhampton now she is doing her nurse training at uni, where do you have your treatment?
Do you have a husband & kids? I’ve got a hubby & just the 1 daughter.

Hi Hilary so nice to hear from somebody who has actually come out the other side of all this hell we have to go through, it sounds like you had a rough time & still are, do you ever wonder does it get any easier?
I’ve had a very emotional day today, just would love my old life bk even if for only a day!
I am trying to be positive but those awful thoughts still linger don’t they?

Hiya yes I had a mastectomy & some lymph nodes removed, so recovering from the operation then straight into chemo, such a whirl wind!
Feeling very lethargic today but no sickness so that’s good,
I have my treatment at redditch hospital, so not too far away, & my daughter is doing her placements at new cross.
She has just gone in to her 2 nd year & loving it bless her, it’s so hard for those close to us isn’t it!
Sounds good that your lump is getting smaller that must be a good sign!
Do you have to have radiotheraphy? I do after chemo has finished, just something else to look forward too!

Hi ladies, I had my op on the 15th July, & am just starting to feel like its healing now! I still get days where it’s worse than others but have to just go with it!
I’ve had a couple of very emotional days this week, & as you say it’s nice to have friends around but they don’t know how we feel, that’s why these forums are good,
I just feel like I’m not the mum & wife I was 3 months ago? Strange isn’t it!

Hi Hilary & Julie, sorry not been very chatty, had a bad last few days, the emotions have hit me very hard this course, have been quite positive but suddenly feel alone & sad,
The side effects this time have been not too bad compared to first course, but I did ask for e mend as recommended by another bc lady & thank the lord it helped! Just felt nauseous this time & no energy at all, sore mouth today but have got some diff lam so that should help!
I’ve got my date for wen my Hickman line is being fitted which I’m dreading, it’s oct 10 th so means chemo will be delayed by 10 days, another scary thought?
It would be great to meet up for a drink sometime, if anybody wants to txt my phone number is , hope you are both being looked after,

I had a mystectomy on 15th July & recovering slowly from the op, have had 2 courses of chemo so far & had a few se but dont be alarmed they can give you meds for each & every 1. Just very tired at the moment, did you have your op at redditch Hosp?
Have you been referred to the primrose hospice? It helps, I go to reiki, counselling & the bcn have just started a coffee morning on a tues morning from 9.30-10.30, I went for the first time today & met a lovely lady going through the same as us, so nice to talk to somebody who actually knows how you feel,
