Hi I was wondering of anyone is near to tamworth staffs. I am being treated at good hope hospital sutton coldfield.
I was diagnosed in july 07 with breast cancer and diagnosed with secondaries in my lymph nodes and lungs november 08. currently having more treatment.

yes I am in breast friends group. went to the xmas party last yr this yrs is on monday but i can’t go as im on my low immune week.

Hi, Lisa,
They do healing every other monday at the oncolgy ward. It a form of relaxation balancing the energy flows. I do enjoy it but it is worth a try. I can txt u a name and nuber if u want. Also do u go to the midland cancer centre for relaxation and treatments. How is angie, is she doing okay… I haven’t heard from her. Also do you know a lady by the name of val - she was dx same time as me and also has secondaries in lung…Don’t know if u remember her.
I am planning on going to the party. hubby will have the girls. The little ones a big 2 1/2 now and really spoilt as i can’t tell her off or discipline here with whats gone on.

When is the relaxation treatments at the midland centre never been.
Angie is fine she has finally moved back to the midlands - i will be seeing her over the next week or two - don’t get to see her much now as she is back at work part time and with me back on my treatment.

Hi Lisa,
The party was good and it was good to see everyone although there was portion control on the food. When you’ve been through something like this its good to get the support from the other ladies.
I can’t believe you haven’t been to the cancer centre. Its great -You have to pay something like £15.00 initially and then you get i think upto 15 treatments, such as hynotherapy, meditation, aromatherapy etc. I’ll txt you both numbers and the one for the healing as well. The relaxation/visualisation is every thursday from 11:45 to 12:30
Yes it would be good to meet up - and if u want i can spk to val as we spk occassionally and ask her if i can give her number to u if u want?
I’m glad angie is doing well and back at work. I too am thinking about going back soon but i need to get me head sorted first. Still keep on crying over the whole BC thing.

Sorry to hear you are feeling down - I think we all have our bad days. Just stay as positive as you can.
What treatment are you still having at good hope?
I am back on tues 16th for bloods and to see Dr Stevens but I suppose I am then lucky that I bring my chemo home as it is tablet form but do miss the chats with other ladies in our situation.

Hi all … just on Tamoxifen now …escaped chemo …waiting for a bone scan …having trouble with my recon at the mo got appointment at clinic on Tuesday 16 dec seriously considering decon !!! in so much pain

sorry to hear you are so much pain. have you told ur onc about the pain so they can give u more pain killers
I hope you get your scan soon as it’s a real worry i no - i have had 2 now which thankfully were both clear.
Are you seeing garrick georgio for ur recon - he was gonna do mine but it has had to be put on permanent hold due to my secondaries

i have my ct scan on fri and will no next tues if my chemo is working - i am just praying for some good news can’t cope with anymore bad news after this last lot really but i no i will cope with whatever is thrown at us really.

I was just getting my dates for 2nd mastectomy and recon with my tummy and hysterectomy when i found out my cncer had come back and is now classed as not curable.
What a blow I was just getting my head round the major ops I was about to have when I had that thrown in my face.
I hope ur op goes ok and keep us informed with ur progress.

I have just commented on the thread u put on secondaries and am truely sorry I havent seen it before now but I have too been ill - please keep us informed and I really am keeping my fingers crossed for u as I remember that first conversation we had in the hopsital after u were diagnosed and how scared u were then please keep ur chin up and stay as positive as u can ( I know that is hard )

Im so sorry to hear your not doing to well but somehow we have no choice but to be strong. from your txt b4 i thought the pain had got better i’ve also read your other thread and can pray for you that the results are good. Why do u think they are not?
Are you seeing andrea on tuesday? If you don’t mind me asking what symptoms did u have b4 your secondary dx?
I too hope and pray its an infection but can’t understand why they want to do a ct scan on the lungs and liver. its so worrying. I was asking my oldest about her earliest memories today as i fear i wont be here for them… Will they ever remember me?
Please do keep us informed. By the way my bcn is eileen…I know she’s doing her job but sometimes i don’t really like the way she can come accross but i also accept its a difficult job to do with have to bear bad news.
