sorry things not to well for you. I was dx not to long after moving house. Maidstone hospital have been great and support from this site second to none. I know for sure, that my recovery would have been a lot harder if it were not for the girls support on here.where are you living? I have friends in Chatham. Not to far from the railway station. We are hoping that we can get enough girls locally to have a meet up sometime. would you be interested?

Hi, I live in Beckenham, Kent. Diagnosed 3 weeks ago, having mastectomy & axillary clearance on 16th at Princess Royal.
Found out yesterday that my CT and bone scans are clear!
tinfish you old devil!! where have you been? you were on my thread for a while chatting, when i was first dx, and then you disappeared!! have been looking for you and wondering where you have been! are you ok? see you are still off work. hope things are not too bad. I am at maidstone to, now having rads and nearly finished. come a long way in the last 8 months! dont go disappearing on me again, will you!!!
muv70 - nice to have you on. so sorry you are going through all this, especially so close to christmas. glad you ct and bone scans are clear, that must be a relief. how old are you, if you dont mind me asking? hope all goes well with the op etc. please keep in touch. not too many of us down this way, so nice to speak to people nearby.
Hi again, sorry for long delay in replying. Of course I don’t mind you asking, I am 52 and have 7 children, only youngest 4 living at home, a boy of 15, and three girls 10, 8 & 4, my youngest started school in September. My two older girls share a flat nearby, they are 22 & 25.
I can’t believe that I have got to this age, never sick & now this!
Had my pre-op check today, which seems to be fine. Tomorrow I am having my hair cut & styled to match the wig I’ve already bought, in preparation!
Am busy trying to organise Christmas but find it hard to concentrate! I’m sure you’ve all been there!

hi I live in whitstable in kent first diagnosed in 1990 had lumpectomy and radiotherapy, reccurence in same breast in february this year after 18 years, had mx and chemotherapy which finished end of september now on arimidex.I am 58 and have 4 children a daughter of 28 and three boys of 24, 22, and 14, I actually had a pregnancy after I had bc the first time while I was on tamoxifen, I am treated at kent and canterbury hospital, best wishes to everyone love suzan x
Hi.I live in Rochester.I am 1 year on from diagnosis on new years eve ! Had lumpectomy at medway and radiotherapy at maidstone.On tamoxifen for 5 years and zoladex injections for next 2 years.I am 39 and married with 2 children.Think having a meet up is a great idea.

minimode, i am being treated at maidstone and finish this friday.
maybe in the new year we can sort out a meet up with all of us?
we will have to find a central location as we are spread out and one is from whitstable, so maybe maidstone may be the solution? or any other ideas anyone?
Hi everyone - sorry just noticed the Kent post - Suzan I too live in Whitstable. Diagnosed July 2006, mastectomy at William Harvey in Ashford and chemo and rads at K & C. Reconstruction booked for May 2009. It would be nice to meet other ladies but if there is an age limit may be considered too old - 59!!!
Anyway hope all goes well for you all and I shall keep an eye on this thread.

Just to let you know how to post a private message, all you need to do is type the username of the person you are sending it to in the ‘send a private message to’ box, then type your message and post as usual. You need to type the username exactly as it appears as it’s case sensitive.

nice to see some new ones on. would everyone be ok with maidstone for a meet up or does anyone have any other ideas? im ok to travel, but have tried to think of somewhere central as people here from outskirts of london and dartford way.
