My bilirubin levels are always abnormal since diagnosis 3 months ago. Nothing showed in my CT scan back then but I just find it odd, can’t be for no reason.
I recently had my first chemo session and I feel absolutely awful, ended up in a&e. Just going through the worst. Liver Bloods showed it’s currently at 33.
I started out so positive but I Just feel so depressed now and the pain, plus all side effects hit me at once and lack of sleep is just making me worse.
Sorry to hear you’re feeling so bad with chemo. Do you know if your bilirubin level was normal previously? Some people have a benign condition called Gilbert’s syndrome where the bilirubin level is always mildly high and can get worse with being ill.
Thank you for your reply, yes it’s been awful so far but today I seem to be less sick and in less pain.
My bilirubin has only been high since I started having blood tests at hospital appointments ect. I compared them from previous years or months in the past and they use to be normal. I will speak to my oncologist and see if they are planning to investigate.
