Anyone in Bedfordshire/Hertfordshire

i’ve recently been diagnosed (last week) and I’m off to oncology this week to discuss chemo option as its already in the nodes. I live on the Beds/Herts border and wonder if anyone is local to me.

Hi Susie!

I’m not in your part of the country but I’m pretty sure BlossomHill is.  :)   Blossom is currently in hospital after surgery and hopefully will be back on the forum soon.

Good luck for your appointment this week.  :)

xx

Hi Susie, no sorry, other end of the country but wanted to say hi, I’m sure you will find lots of support on here. I was diagnosed in January, have had surgery to remove lump and lymph nodes, back to work on a reduced timetable today (excited, I’m a teacher, have missed it) for 4 weeks. I’m going to Florida over Easter then will be starting chemo, I’m only 42, so you get blasted with everything to prevent a recurrence. Good luck with your appointment, Sarah xx

Hi Susie, I live near Milton Keynes so probably not far from you. I was diagnosed in January and had a mastectomy 2 weeks ago. I’m recovering well from the op although at the moment I have developed severe hives. I’m not sure what has caused it but on steroids now. I get my results next Weds, Welcome to the forum. You will get great support here Jane xx

Hi Susie I am not local as I live in the North East but wanted to say hi. I was diagnosed 1st Feb and had Lumpectomy and removal of sentinel nodes on the 22nd. I am going back to work Monday then get my results and treatment plan on the 10th. You will get a lot of support on here. What have you been diagnosed with and how old are you. Lou x

The waiting is the worse Susie. Big hugs x

Hi Susie I’m in Peterborough so not too far from you. I had my op on 29th. Initially did really well but in lots of pain and very sore now. Think I’ve not routinely taken painkillers and also upped the exercise after full mode clearance.

Hi Susie Q , I live in Bedford. I was initially diagnosed on 15th January 2016. I was referred for reconstruction to Lister hospital and I am waiting (and waiting seems to be forever) for a date to have mastectomy.
