Anyone on EPI-CMF

I have done my 4 cycles of EPI and next week I’ll start on CMF.

Just wondering if wile having the treatment on CMF the air will start to grow.

Could someone advise.

Hi Ana,

I had E-CMF chemo last year, I finished in Oct. My hair started to grow back v.quickly as soon as I had finished the epi, and I had a good covering by the time I finished the cmf. In fact, I started going ‘commando’ during my last cmf.

Had first cmf after epi and I am starting to get a litttle bit of growth on back of scalp,
so looking forward to not being a baldy any more and hope im fortunate enough to get chemo curl but will be satisfied with HAIR!!

I’ll have my first CMF on 17th, I can’t wait for this over. Hoppfully by midlle of July it will be over, and then I’ll star on radio.
Kelly how do you get in on ,Ok?
Bobbie how did you get on with your first CMF? Esier the EPI?

Hi Ana, just want to say good luck, I’m a bit behind you, had first Epi on Friday, CMF starts in July, then radiotherapy. I feel fine at the moment, two days into Epi, but am still on steroids and waiting to see what the week brings. When did you lose your hair - did you have the cold cap?

I had epi-cmf…epi I hated…but the cmf I found was so much easier. Good luck with it all, and my hair started sprouting with a vengence on the cmf

hi Ana Cmf Better than Epi , Epi was awful for me personally. Need to stock up on imodium for CMF , BUT we are all different so listen to you ONC nurses

Hi Bobbie,
Regarding the CMF are you having on tablets aswell? How many seringes you having each time? 2 or 3?
I am a bit concerned about the next one, but i’m sure I’ll be fine.
I’ll let you know how i’m getting on.

Hi Palomina,

I’ve just had 3 Epis before 1 more, then CMF. My hair started to thin about 2 weeks after the first Epi. Got it cut very short as this started, but wished I’d gone shorter. Once it started to thin a lot I shaved it off and this was liberating - felt much better and in control about it and wished i’d had the confidence to do it sooner. (It took about a week of thinning before you could tell - my hair was quite thick though). Am quite enjoying a wig and headscarf combo - the wig i got looks to ‘wiggy’ without a scarf and hair clips to keep it in place.
