Anyone starting chemo in December?

We all different I know. I just try to be careful & sensible as dont want this to go on any longer than absolutely necessary.

I’m with you tomcat, untidy home, not too clean, but so far I’m the only one in the house who hasn’t had a cough, cold or sore throat!!

I always put my family’s (normal!) hardiness down to never taking any notice of sell by dates on food :smileyvery-happy:

Like you say Waiting, never take anything for granted again.

Hi Tomcat

Have you tried some steam to see if that helps at all? One of my daughters has asthma and if she is feeling rough sometimes a steamy shower helps. I know it’s not the same but maybe it would provide a bit of relief untl you can get to the hospital? I hope something helps you through the night.

Take care,

Emxx

Sounds like your suffering girl… Hope you can get sorted today.

Heres a hug.

Sounds greAt Caroline.

Hi Caroline

Your wig sounds lovely! And so pleased that it has given you a boost. Sounds like spring has sprung in the north today

Emxx

Congratulations in the wig. I can’t be bothered on the basis that in a month it will be too hot here:)

Thanks for the hug .

I had a chest xray this morning which was fine but I still have antibiotics just in case and tablets to break up the mucus as they aren’t taking risks and can’t get to the bottom of the cough. This was the gp.

4th AC tomorrow! What joy, can’t wait.

Hi everyone & thanks for the kind words…

Had wig on when my boy came home from school. He gave me a hug was all smiles & said mum you look like you. Orrrrrr…bless

Then I took it off to make tea as the lovely women who fitted it told me that busts of hot air (oven etc) may cause it to frizz…yikes ha ha…

Hope you get a good nights sleep Marli after your epic day! & hope you don’t have any se what so ever…or minimal x

Hope goes ok tomorrow Tomcat & good that youve had xray at least you can rest easy about your ribs. Hope you start to feel better soon & no se.

Take Care girls.

Hi Marli

Yes this illnes touches everyone who cares for us. Difficult for our children resilient though they especially as the treatment begins to effect appearance.

Happy your okish today Marli. Know what you mean about missing exercise. Ive suspended my gym membership till chemo finished as my energy levels rubbish but I manage a daily walk in 3rd week. Sad as normally do 3 or 4 excercise classes a week. Will get back to it I know.
I got myself a piates DVD but not been inspired yet.
Put your feet up Marli relax & recover.

Hope you ok Tomcat.

Love Caroline xx

Oh what joy. I have a lumo.under my arm!!
I came for my AC but the nurse sent me to the emergency chemo Dr first. I know I have new prescriptions for other antibiotics as the ones o got yesterday put me on the loo all evening. I also have to have an ultrasound. Slightly scary but hopefully nothing and just lymph node infection or similar. In the chair wairing to start.

Hang in their hun xx

Marli take it easy.

I’ve really got away lightly so far! AC done! Next time its apparently Taxol and herceptin. I didn’t know they were starting herceptin then but hey ho.

Ultrasound booked for Sunday and if there’s something to look at they’ll do biopsy too. Probably nothing but still a tad scary.

Very possible. The nurse told me it would be four to four and half hours and after that only three ish. Probably for the reason you said:)

That won’t be hapoenning. Israelis don’t do waiting.

Sounds cool. I have lost most of my hair after four AC and still have twelve Taxol to go. So far I have eyebrows and eyelashes. No clue what’s gonna happen though.

Hazelr you seem on the same road as myself I have heceptine next Tuesday need to be there for six hours for first one :frowning: then on Wednesday first tax still after that will only be two more to go! I live I. Sandwich so I testing to hear about lady in Maidstone will look at site for sure sounds good! I am wearing my wig which is very good as hv a nice bald patch on top bit like a monk really attractive ! I hv been very nauseous on fec and not sure got a good drug regime to manage it so hoping tax will be better some say it has bit made then feel so sick ! I hv had mx back in November and after chemo will hv rads as well and the Herceptine is planned every three weeks for a year I think but just will be glad when chemo finished to be honest !

Good luck with it all here’s to a good cocktail round with no side effects or anymore hair loss please xx

Hope all ok take care ladies been back at work so have kept me very busy but good to get brain back in order a bit lol cx
