Appointment made 6th June for consult

I had what I thought was a bruise back in March.  I went to the doc about something else and showed him and he said it looked like dry skin.

So I took a photo of it when I got home in April, well yesterday I thought I would google, " looks like bruise on breast but won’t go" So you can imagine how I felt when the results came back.

I made an emergency appointment at docs and luckily it was the same Dr and he has referred me to the breast clinic and I have an appointment on the 6th June. His still not convinced its anything and said he had never come across it.  I said thats because its so rare.

I don’t have any of the other symptoms, but the bruise hasn’t gone in over 3 months.

Its just I had a mammogram and ultrasound about 6 months ago as I had implants removed over 10 yrs ago, which had ruptured and caused lots of scar tissue on both breasts and I ended up having necrosis on one breast.  Anyway all healed and sorted.  So I have been super cautious with them over the years and kept an eye on them.  I have even had biopsies taken on the left breast about 4 years ago which was clear.

I don’t really know what I’m trying to say, except I’m worried.

Last time I went I found the Dr who did the ultrasound very rude and just said my pain was due to the scar tissue and everything was fine.

So I really want advice on how to be assertive with them, and that I think something is wrong. 20160417_182256 (1).jpg

Sorry picture is a bit big, but this is the redness that has been there for three months.  What do you think?  am I being mad?

hi sorry you are so worried. no you are not mad you just have something going on that you dont understand. I am not a medical expert but from what you write I would say its very unlikely that you have IBC - given how aggressive it is, its not likely it would have stayed the same for several months. It could all be connected with your prior surgery, or it could be something else entirely, but its worth getting it checked out to make sure.Hope you get some reassurance quickly. I would also say try not to google - there is a lot of incorrect or out of date info out there. Stick to reputable sites and read their publications.
