Appointment today - good news

Hi to everyone

I’ve been to my appointment today. I was a dithering wreck by the time we got to the hospital which wasn’t helped by the receptionist at the clinic who was very rude and ignorant. Everybody there was commenting on how awful she was.

I saw the consultant then had a mammogram (didn’t hurt at all) and an ultrasound. Then we popped out and had some early lunch and when we came back I saw the consultant again. I didn’t think much to him either he was one of those doctors who doesn’t let you speak and say everything that you want to.

I have a number of small cysts in my breasts which he said is due to my age and nothing needs to be done about those. The green and bloody discharge is due to Duct Ectasia. Apparently, as you get older the milk ducts can dilate and become full of this discharge. He won’t have to do anything about this unless it gets to the point where my breast is leaking all the time.

I’ve got to go back in 8 weeks so that he can check that the discharge hasn’t become more copious and if it’s OK he will then discharge me. I do not have cancer - thank goodness!!

I’d just like to say thank you to all the lovely ladies who have supported me, given me advice and info and sent positive vibes to me in the last 2 weeks. I wish all the luck, best wishes and positive vibes in the world to those ladies and also the ones that I haven’t spoken to.
Lots of love Debsxxxxxxx
