Hi yes I remember being overwhelmed with appointments once I’d had my diagnosis last time. I was trying to take in the news & they were busy re-arranging my life with all these appointments! Wasnt so bad this time around because I knew exactly what to expect but the first time you’re initially in a little bubble when you get the news & it takes a little while to realise time isn’t your own once you start on the treatment treadmill!

Make sure you take a diary with you in your bag & write all the appointments down to keep track of them all!

Hi Twinky
Ive never had a diary never needed one but gonna have to get one as losing track !!! Luckily I only live 10 mins from Marsden so at least where im back and forth its not too bad unlike some of the ladies on here have to travel miles each time, Seems to me a rough deal you having to go through this again … I hope your ok and its not getting you down too much x Im in the phase of lets get this s…t on the road and kick some bc butt… but sure i will have my down days as well

Take care

Hugs Janice x

I can remember having one week where I had a plastic surgery clinic appointment on the Monday (long story involving a chemo burn to my hand), then back to the same hospital on the Tuesday to see my oncologist, then a 50 mile round trip on the Wednesday for Herceptin. I was knackered with it all.Thing is, you get used to it then when you get to the end of treatment it’s quite strange having all this time on your hands. You wonder what you were doing with it before BC.
