I was dionoised with triple negative on April 13th. I just received my first treatment of chemo this past Friday. I’m 43 years old and all I been doing is reading. I know everyone is different on how the treatment goes. I was told the 3rd week I would loose hair in which I’m not worried. Just want to live. Can anyone give me some suggestions on things to eat just anything positive please.
Morning, I had Chemo 12 years ago and used the cold cap. I did not loose a great amount of hair from the neck up but I did from the neck down which was a great plus. I, of course, ate a very healthy diet and drank huge amounts of water. Chocolate was good, for me, too.Ha Ha. I also have Manuka honey 24+active to aid healing. But that is my choice, not suggested by anyone medical. A positive attidude also helps always count your blessings at the end of the day however small. deep breath and take it day by day. Hugs Carol
Morning, I think whilst you’re having chemo you need to go with what you fancy. Try and drink lots. You will go off certain foods and drinks and things won’t taste right. Your taste buds will return to normal though! Try not to eat your favourite foods as you’ll associate it with chemo. Salt and vinegar crisps or plain crisps were always nice on the days following chemo. Just go with what you can face. Good luck xx
