April 2025 chemo starters

Thanks @carrie5 had my last chemo today which was horrendous, they weren’t sure if it was a reaction or not but panicked, however home and all done now.

Also got the first Zoladex ovarian suppression injection today too which surprisingly the actual injection didnt hurt that much. It was the nurses first time and they said they thought it would be really sore as the needle was so fat and big! Will see how the side effects plan out, hopefully won’t be too bad.

How are tou keeping?

Here’s hoping you are ok after today @yjmc :crossed_fingers:

@yjmc yes, I had my first Prostap ovary suppression injection on Tuesday. I didn’t care for it! Yes, felt a bit cheated getting to the end of chemo only to be hit with “here’s the next 10 years of your life. Enjoy your menopause on steroids!”

But…, I HAVE OFFICIALLY FINISHED CHEMO! Last treatment yesterday. It was not without incident. Nurse accidentally gave me my (already dose dense) paclitaxel infusion over 1.5 hours instead of 3. I seem fine! My poor eyebrows and lashes are almost gone though. I worry my last dose might kill them off completely.

Had my CT planning scan for radio today, and I start treatment at the end of the month. Quite a strange experience lying topless making small talk with the radiographer about what line of work I’m in. Well it’s clearly not Only Fans is it mate!
