Welcome to the forum . You could post about this in the hormone therapy section of the forum too , I will post you a link . It’s a very individual decision regarding continuing with hormone treatment - risk versus side effects / impact on quality of life . Have you discussed your percentage benefit on hormone treatment this may help you make a decision. Has your Oncologist discussed Tamoxifen as an alternative, some people find it less harsh on the bones / joints so may be worth a try .Best wishes Jill x
I see that people don’t tend to reply to these ‘intro’ posts (I’ve just posted my first one!) but thought I would reply to say I had that drug some years ago after they found LCIS, to aim to prevent cancer in the future. I had to stop taking them as I found my blood pressure became raised, and I kept getting cystitis. However I’m going to have to start taking it again as I do now have cancer!
Anyway, I was going to say would be it be worth asking your consultant or nurse to try a different drug? Other ones might be more tolerable. Good luck!
