armpit pain in fibroadenoma?

Hi.I am 26. 3 years ago i found a small movable lump in left breast .my oncologist said it is fibrodenoma. Now after 3 years i feel pain in breast and armpit some times in other breast also.My ultrasound said an oval shaped lesion with 8mm size is noted at 2 o clock position without any vasularity suggesting fibraodenoma. No nipple retraction seen.No skin thickening seen,No axillary lymphadenopathy seen.there is no sweeling in armpit but there is pain radiating from breast to armpit. My prolaction is also high,But oncologist say i dnt need to get biopsy.he say to ignore it…what should i do?can high prolactin cause breast and armpit pain?can cancer lump remain same size for 3 year?Any one having same condition in fibrodenoma :frowning:

Hi ANAB Z,

I’m sorry to hear this is causing you pain. I am also 26 and had my first fibroadenoma 2 years ago, it was totally benign and wasn’t removed. Since then I have had breast cancer and now 2 more fibroadenomas, due to be removed in March. Worth me mentioning that fibros are in no way linked to breast cancer. You mention that you’ve seen an oncologist, can I ask is that because you have prviously been diagnosed with cancer?

I think if I were in your position I would want a biopsy to be absolutley certain and this is a very reasonable request

Keen to know how this was resolved for you xx

It was misdiagnosed, but don’t want to worry you as that is incredibly rare. It may be worth insisting on a biopsy as this will finally put your mind at ease xx

Hi. I have a fibroadenoma in my left breast,  that was found at the same time as the cancer in my right.  It was diagnosed with a biopsy.  I have been told that it won’t be removed. I would also say ask for a biopsy.  I also get a sore left armpit.

Im also having same problem… Having lump in right side of breast with same size around fiv years… Not went to hospital till … Past one week having mild pain from breast to armpit continuosly…  Im fearing much my baby is just 4 months old…  Can anyone say is this fibrodenema… Im 27 yr old
