August 2026 chemo starters

Hi ladies, happy news from me today. I have finished the EC part of my chemo, I’m officially half way through :face_holding_back_tears::partying_face: Paclitaxel next for me.

@titch1 I was also changed to a singular slow release injection this time! Not for pain though, the injections make me feel, not ill just really off and it made me feel quite low last cycle I won’t lie. Nurse recommended this, she said it might not change anything but worth a try. Hope yours helps the pain :black_heart:

Went in today, after my phone call on Tuesday with the nurse, thinking they were probably going to remove my PICC. It’s finally stopped leaking but my reactions to the dressings are getting worse and I’m blistering at times, the nurse wanted to look at it today. Anyway another nurse sort of brushed it off after looking at it and said it was fine so it’s still in :woman_shrugging:t2:

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend :black_heart::black_heart::black_heart:

Hi, everyone. I started TC (with HP) in August and just finished my second infusion last week. I have stage 2a HER2+ breast cancer. I’m 52 and have three little ones (not too little - 12.5 year old twins and an 8 year old) at home. I’m a widow so am parenting solo - which makes this all the more challenging.

Yea! Congrats @Absolutely_Not 1/2 way is a definite achievement!!are the PICC dressings the sensitive ones? I’ve been moved onto them as the others were causing a reaction.

I have been going to acupuncture and craniosacral therapy (I am in the U.S. so I don’t know if it’s called something else in the U.K.) and doing gentle yoga at home as much as possible. I would love any other recommendations about complementary therapies as well.
