Hello everyone, my dear mum recently got diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer and is going through chemo therapy in India. I went for a check up and they found a lump and did a biopsy last Wednesday and was told will get results in 3 days. But today when I called was told to call back after 3 more days as my results weren’t ready yet. While I had barely gotten to grips with my mums condition and her having to go through the treatment alone in India, I now find myself anxiously waiting! It’s so hard. Putting up a happy face in front of my 6yr old son. How long does it take for biopsy results to come in? Thanks all.
Hi. I’m sorry you are going through this and a double whammy with your mum as well. Waiting is very tough but I think 3 days would be considered fast for biopsy results. I’m in an unknown corner of Spain and in our hospital they take 3 - 4 weeks but I’ve often read on this forum from ladies in uk that they often take upto 2 weeks. Hopefully others in uk will be along soon to help.

I am so sorry you find yourself in this place at the moment, made harder by what your mum is going through. You have come to a lovely place on here and we will give you as much help and support as you need.
My own experience was that I had a biopsy on 8/9/16 I went back a week later but as the results were inconclusive i had a different type of biopsy and was given an appointment for a week later when I was told Iwould get my results conclusively.and I did.

Yes I am trying to keep myself extremely busy and shunning away any thoughts of it. It is quite a struggle though. Thank you ever so much for all the support. Xx
