I’ve not read the whole article yet but it sounds good. I just wanted to say that I was diagnosed with DCIS yesterday but I also had Osteosarcoma (bone cancer) at age 19 and I underwent 9 months of intensive chemotherapy and as my forum name suggests I am now a mum to three wonderful children. I did not have eggs frozen and did not need any kind of fertility treatment so even if you do need chemo it may not always be an unhappy ending as far as becoming a mum is concerned. xxx

Thanks M03 - I think it is just great that research into this area is coming along so well, and thought others might feel some hope from it too.

Keeping everything crossed my chemo doesn’t boll!x my chances, but off to the fertility clinic to have a chat with them next week.

Sorry to hear about your DCIS diagnosis - have they recommended any treatment at this point?
