After my scare last year, the consultant wanted to keep me on the books for yearly check up (family hist, mum died of bc aged 43- I’m now nearly 28).
I saw the consultant who was lovely. Got touched up (lol sorry) while sitting up and she said all feels ok, but ordered an ultrasound to be on safe side.
I have the scan on 30th Jan.
The night after appointment I decided I really should do a check, and I do it lying down (quite large in the bust area so difficult for me to feel standing up). And when I lie on my side, on the left side of my left breast, there is a very easily felt lump. Its not round… It’s more long ish… Its very hard, but slightly moveable (not sure if its moving or the fat around it lol).
Anyway. I’ve managed to petrify myself again.
I guess my biggest fear is not cancer, it’s having it and it not being caught (mums Mets were misdiagnosed and then it was too late).

Sorry to hear of your concerns. The main thing is that you have the US in a couple of weeks and that will be very effective in showing anything. Easier said than done but try not to worry.

I know… And i do find the waiting a really strange thing. In one way, I’m desperate for the 30th to come and know.
But in another… If it were bad news… In some way, I bet I’d wish to go back in time to a time where I didn’t know. Odd…

I still have a week to go until scan, on 30th…
The dodgy left breast… It felt unbelievably itchy on Wednesday. But am aware of my paranoia so ignored it.
Then Thursday throughout the day I had a burning sensation behind the nipple. Had a quick look at lunch. Nothing there, so again dismissed it.
Thursday evening I thought, this doesn’t feel right. My entire bra cup was soaking wet. Stuff coming out of nipple. Clear or with yellow tinge in bits. Nipple has been bit fry for while but now is all crusty and rank looking, I’m excusing from sitting in the damp bra for an hour or so before I realised.
I went docs Fri evening thinking maybe infection coz bottom part of breast was all red.
Doctor had a look. Said redness from breast exposed to dampness… I agree… Looks kinda like irritated mild kids nappy rash. I’ve no temp. He couldn’t see any signs of infection. And breast itself isn’t painful.
I explained re scan. He said to make sure they are very thorough as he cannot think of a reason for one breast to suddenly be oozing so much when my youngest is four and a half.
I’m worrying more and more. Please help x
Not sure what to say, I’m waiting to be be re-referred to the breast clinic. And I don’t have the typos of symptoms you have but I can relate somewhat to your anxietyz its a horrible thing. Wishing you all the best whatever the outcome is on the 30th x
Thanks for all your replies. The crustiness has virtually cleared up and I’ve only had one small bit of clear discharge since last time… Baffled!
This time two days I should feel better after ultrasound I’m hoping… Hoping they find a cyst or something rather than anything dodgy or even nothing at all… Something’s causing it so nothing at all showing would make me still feel weird… Does that make sense?/x
