back in the waiting room!

I had my lump taken out on Tuesday + so far I’m not too sore, but the general anaesthetic made me very poorly til now…
Normally I’d have the results in a week but as they’re on a conference next Weds I’ve got my appointment for 29th May to find out where we go from here… trying to forget about it until then and concentrate on recovering from my op but I’m so fed up with everything getting delayed - this has been going on since November!!!
Hope everyone’s having a bright day

*bump* so this gets seen!

Hi Kath46, I’m glad you are doing ok after your op.No wonder your fed up ,I thought I was bad I found my lump in January .When they told me my first op wasn’t clear I had to wait 10 days for 2nd and another 10 days for results.I went back yesterday still not clear,he said he could fit me in on Monday ,he didn’t have to ask twice,6 days less off waiting marvellous .An old woman at the breast clinic said to me this was how the war was won patience and that’s how we will win ours. Take care Meggy x

Waiting really is the worst isn’t it I receive mine tomorrow from my WLE last weds hope it doesn’t drag too much lots of hugs and hope you’re feeling better soonx

Thanks ladies, hope you get good results asap!
I am trying to be a patient patient, but it’s not easy! LOL

Hi Cath

I felt quite strange after my op, not physically, but emotionally. I knew the lump had been removed and as far as I was concerned, the BC had been taken away. That emotion lasted for around a week however, as it drew nearer to my results day (yesterday), I began to feel anxious and scared. I sat sweating in the waiting room as well lol

The waiting game is a nightmare, but try to keep yourself busy so that you feel like the time is passing quicker.

Similar to what Meggy-Moo says…There are many battles to this war, some we will will and some we will struggle with however, in the end, we will win this war.

Take care and the very best of luck to everyone for your results.
Martha xx
