I have been getting pain on my lower spine for a couple of months, sometimes around the hips. Its worse at night where I get irritable legs and numbness in my toes and feet. Some days are better than others. My back is stiff if I stay in one position or stand for too long. Do you think this is secondary bone cancer. I was diagnosed with stage 2, grade 3 breast cancer 3 years ago, I am taking tamoxifen. My brother has recently died of bowel cancer on boxing day so obviously cancer anxiety is at its height for me. There are days where I feel overly tired.
Hi JJ72
Firstly, I’m so sorry for your loss. I too lost my brother a couple of months ago to stomach cancer. So difficult isn’t it. It has turned my world upside down. Like you it brought all my anxiety back about myself. I had breast cancer 4 years ago and taking tamoxifen. In the past I have been to the doctor with various aches and pains and I’m lucky my doctor has always sent me for the revelant tests. Think mine were down to side effects of tamoxifen and going into a surgical menopause. I think if you are worried you should see your doctor or have a chat with the bc nurses to put your mind at rest. You dont want to keep worrying about it, it just keeps going round and around in your head causing sleepless nights and an emotional roller coaster.
Here if you ever want to chat. Big hugs…xxx
Hiya so sorry to hear of your diagnosis 3 years ago hun, I too was diagnosed a year ago had 5 tumours in my left breast, year treatment which I’ve finished beginning of December, only now take one tablet tomoxfen a day,
I’ve too been getting lower back pain recently had a bone scan to be told I’ve got scoliosis which I think the treatment hasn’t helped with my bones as woken most nights with discomfort,
Do often think will it reaccure on my bones ?have my doubts ?xx
