Hi Neelima
I have started with same problem though I finished my treatment in Dec 2005
It started as an ache between shoulder blades, but then I had a cough and a cold and was unable to cough because of the pain it caused in my back. Cough is much improved now but that niggly pain in my back has’nt gone. I put mine down to the Arimidex…then again, I put everything down to the Arimidex.
I have got a hosp app on 16th of this month so am going to ask about it then, will let you know what explanation they give for the pain
Hi Neelima
Try not to worry . I finished treatment in June 2006 and in October this year I got niggly pain in my ribs and in my back. The more I thought about it the worse it became. I had it on and off all day and was convinced my time was up. Went back to onc who said it was nothing but would do a chest xray anyway to convince me.
X ray was clear and you wont believe this but it went that night and never came back. Never underestimate the power of the mind - it perpetuates any ache and pain until you are told you are OK.
Good Luck

i have the same pain between my shoulderblades.
I saw my oncologist just before christmas who said to come back to clinic in a month and if i still had the pain they would take it furthur and look into it
Still got the pain but it is not as intense as it was before christmas which makes me hope that it is a muscular strain

have been on Arimidex for about 6 weeks now, and have bad jopint pain , and pain in shoulder blades rather than between ,I saw somewhere on this site a suggestion to take it in the evening after a meal rather than in the morning , and it has seemed to help a little. Hope it helps you
best wishes
I take my Arimidex at night but often wake up in the night with pain/ache in my left leg. Every morning when I get up I hobble across the room but it does wear off after about 10 mins. I think exercise helps although I overdid it a bit in the gym today after the festive season. Another 4 and a half years to go if I get that far! Am wondering if a glass of wine in the evening is a contributory factor? Hope not.
