Hi tigertot
Thanks for posting.
This sounds as really difficult time it’s good to see you have lots of support from our other forum users.
It looks like you are speaking to the original nurse today. It’s important to feedback the experience you had with the nurse at your last appointment and any of the other concerns you have regarding your experience so far. You can do this verbally or may want to make this more formal. There will be a process at your hospital for feedback and complaints. Depending on where you are in the country depends on who can support you with this.
- England: Patient Advice and Liaison Service
- N. Ireland: Patient and Client Council
- Scotland: PASS | Patient Advice and Support Service Scotland
- Wales: Local health Board
It sounds as if you fed back receiving information with other patients’ details. This is a GDPR issue, and the hospital should have reported this.
And as you know cold caps are in use across the UK and other parts of the world including the States with good evidence for the potential benefits and safety.
It might also help to know that nurses should adhere to the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) professional standards- The Code
