Even though i’m not eating any more than usual, my middle has ballooned , it’s uncomfortable and windy, but not reducing with the expelling of the wind.
Has anyone else had this and has anyone else have anything to suggest to relieve it?
that sounds all too familiar to me!!! I am hoping that it is just one of the nasties that chemo brings, and that over time it will subside. I’ll be very interested in the responses you get!
Hi Cecilia
I know the feeling. My stomach feels enormous. I am eating different foods but my weight is the same. I thought mine was due to all the problems I am having with nausea and constipation. At 50 I am worried that I will never get rid of it!
Thanks Kelly and Jewjew, I’m only little and have a ball round the middle! It’s so uncomfortable and like you I’ve not put on any weight at all. It’s all wind or something!
personally i think it’s a lead ball! certainly feels like one ha ha. Always worse after I eat I think it must be some sort of indigestion. Just wish it would go away!!!
I suppose we wil at least feel different when we are all done.
Hi Ladies. Me too, and its very uncomfortable. I asked my oncologist and he said its a combination of the chemo and steroids, and will settle once treatment is finished, I am trying to have a walk every day as I have found this helps with the bloated feeling… I have a mate who has recently finished treatment and she gained 2 stone but has now lost it, and looks terrific, so hope that gives everyone a bit of encouragement.
Love Jillianxx
So pleased to hear I am not the only one with this problem, what with the bloated windy feeling and the full bladder all the time I am beginning to feel like a very elderly person. Like Jillian I tend to walk each day which definitely helps, Only problem being post chemo making it around the lake and home to empty my bladder!!!
