Bank Holiday weekend

Bank Holiday weekend

Bank Holiday weekend Good morning,

HAVE A GREAT BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND AND ROLL ON THE SUMMER …

Bit worried about Karen has anyone seen her or has she gone off on holiday and not taken us lot with her…how very dare she…lol.

Anyway its Bank Holiday and although the weather is not forecast as very good…lets not let it spoil it for us and I wish each and everyone one of you a few bright yellow days off, and if you are lucky enough to be able to get away, do not forget to look around you as we will all be around you wishing you well.

Have a great weekend everyone, hang on in there and enjoy if you can. For those of you feeling low lonely and see no end to it all, it will get better and we are all here for you if you need to off load or share your days with us, good or bad… I have certainly had more bad in the last 7 months but being able to knock on the door here and be welcomed by you all kept and still does keep me going.

Have a great weekend,

Sore head but it’s worth it! Hi

Just thought i would let you know that I started to Enjoy (notice use of capital) myself last night and I’ve had the headache to prove it!!!

I am half way through rads and decided not to drink during treatment (very sanctimonious!) was over. Well… having reached the half way marker and with it being a bank holiday decided to slip off the wagon last night on the basis I have 3 whole days to sort myself out before next visit to the hospital.

My lovely other half is in the US on business all over this break so my best friend came over - don’t know quite what happened but before we knew it we were on to the second bottle of wine.

In my defence I have read somewhere that red wine is good for red blood cell production and as rads reduces red blood cells (hence the tiredness) I am claiming that I only drank what I drank for medicinal purposes.

Do you think I can get away with this story?

Hope you are taking your ease and enjoying the sunshine

Kim :sunglasses: x

Good on ya gal Well done you, just getting halfway through your rads deserves a little drink or three purely medicinal of course…lol…

Me and two mates are have a girly night tonight, curry a few bottles…whoops sorry glasses of wine, and a good movie.
The perfect start to bank hol weekend…so tomorrow will probably be the same as you, very sore head, never mind they have forecast rain round this area anyway.

Oh well must dash I can hear the cork being pulled from the bottle…lol

Take care

Elaine

I’m new on this site but I think I am going to like it…I’m sitting here on the computer also with a little glass of red wine (medicinal you understand). I haven’t got a bank holiday as I live in SA and it is a working day on Monday, but hey…I can celebrate holiday weekends if I have someone to celebrate them with! Hmmm…Elaine and Kim, you sound like good drinking partners…

Red Wine Flipping Heck!!

No wonder I’ve been poorly — no medicine!!

Better start glugging…

Have a lovely weekend! Weather is set to change, sort of got used to sunshine - been wonderful while I was recovering from my mastectomy in March. It snowed on the day I went in and was warm and sunny on the day I left hospital, and has been wonderful since. Mind you, the garden could do with a glug as well (strictly water!!)

love,
Jacki xx

have one on me!! bottoms up girls, no elaine i mean glass bottom!! how many have you had this weekend. honestly i leave you alone for one minuite and your encouraging others !!! lol, anyway not very good weather today so maybe we should all have a cyber party later on to lift our spirits. daughter out for the day so i have a whole day to do what i want so if i fall off the waggon theres only me to see!!! anyway take care all speak soon love lynn xx

Stop the room spinning Never again, I say never again am I going to drink (yeh right I hear you say)lol…The last thing I remember was dancing on the table and singing I WILL SURVIVE, before collapsing in a heap on the floor…woke up this morning, mouth like a badgers wotsit and pneumatic drill going in my head…That is definitely the last time I am drinking until Tuesday of course whens its my Birthday Party in cyberland… Now I have a few new cybermates please feel free to drop in, you can spend as much on me pressies as you like and do not forget to bring a bottle, or three or in your case Lyn a few cans of strong brew, bring a few of you mates from under the pier, it will be a right giggle. Think Karen must be away, cannot seem to find the rest of the gang from the cyber holiday, was I really that bad then, anyway if you find them drag them along…fancy dress optional…and do not forget to order the stripping fireman, I for each of us, but I bagsy the one with the largest hose, whoooooooooo I do love a fireman’s lift.

Off back to bed now to try and stop the room spinning…now should I have a hare of the dog before I do…lol

Enjoys this dull dark day, the old un’s are chuffed to bits that they have had a drop of rain, there outside here now doing a rain dance to bring more…do I care…no…my bed and paracetamol call me.

Back later when I can stop this banging in my head…

going sailing Don’t think I have posted on this forum before but have made the odd visit and read others. This is such a crappy illness that takes so much away from us, I have decided it time to return to my usual positive self and here seemed a good place to start!

I have big plans for my future. I want to sail, have done for years but always too busy earning a crust. Well now I am beginning to take steps to recify that.

Have a friend who has friends with yachts and he is organising some informal trips for me. Have registered with a website offering my services as crew for next spring (need to regain fittness first). And have had some interest (prob the fact I am a good cook no doubt!). Have bought some proper gear for wild and windy days and have arranged a wk long course in Scotland for my competent crew qualification.

Am very excited and over the next few wks will begin my exercise and diet regime so I’m all prepared!

So when I am off and sailing, I’ll send you folks virtual post cards, hopfully from warmer climes!

Bon Voyage!!

Irene

never!! ever will you get me on a boat im terribly seasick!! but i envy you your get up and go ,yes this illness does knock the stuffing out of us and its good to see someone fighting back .i keep thinking i must do something now ive got my life back, was hoping to win the lottery so i could reopen my aromatherapy business, but so far no luck and i dont want to work for someone else, still ill get there eventually. anyway good luck with the sailing look forward to your virtual postcards .love lynn xx
