Hi. Just joined and hoping someone can help. I know this is a really silly and basic question, but ot sure of how the procedure works. I have been for a mammogram, and assumed I would just have a letter confirming mammogram results as clear. However, I have received a review appointment. Does this mean that I go for a review even if results are clear? Or do I only get a review appointment if they have found something. Would appreciate any replies to let me know as this is my first mammogram. Many thanks. H x
A review appt generally means that the mammogram is unclear for any number of reasons and that more infomation is required before a result can be given. It does not necessarily mean that they have found anything. Until you go for your appt you won’t know why they have called you back, hope it is soon so you won’t have to worry for too long.
Call backs can be for technical problems as well such as movement or blurring, yes it is possible to move whilst clamped down!
Try not to worry

Thanks for your reply, I just didn’t know if it was standard or not, but you have helped clear it up. My doctor wasn’t in today, and the nurse never got back to me, so your reply has helped a lot. Best wishes. H x
