not sure if people have seen this website before or not but if you are feeling at all down about your mastectomy scars or attractiveness or just this whole cancer rubbish in general then visit thescarproject.org or search for The Scar Project on Facebook. It’s a site / exhibition by photographer David Jay. Here you will see incredible photographs of younger women who have had breast cancer who are, like us all, battle scarred but are still strong and still very beautiful. You won’t look at yourself the same way again - it is a truly inspirational, beautiful and very touching project.
Thanks - I feel far less like a freak now. My scar is currently quite revolting as I’ve had lots of wound issues BUT I feel so much better looking at these images
