I hope you’re all doing OK. Got back from my trip today and I know it’s midnight but my body clock is still a bit weird!
Thought about and prayed for you ladies every day and I hope you’ll excuse me not reading through all the posts, (which is what I SHOULD do), but I wondered if you could give me a quick update on how things are going?
ceegra, I have to confess, I haven’t kissed a mountie yet, but it’s not too late. I plan to cheat and kiss a little teddy bear in mounties uniform that I brought back with me!
It was one of the best trips I’ve ever had. I met some cousins for the first time and it was all quite emotioinal. It’s been a long time coming but we’ve made up for it and now I feel really close to them. Saw Niagara Falls, which is spectacular and I wouldn’t have missed it, and generally got spoilt rotten; out for meals all the time. Back to reality now, though!
Welcome back and glad to hear that your holiday was fabulous, and lucky you seeing the Niagara Falls - that is something I would love to see, but not made it to Canada yet, been lots of other places and that one is on the list.
We are all doing ok I think, plodding on with life. Claire and Louby been quite quiet, although LJ said Claire now back at work, sure they will pop on and update you though.
I had my 3rd FEC yesterday, so now half way through. Feeling ok, though bit knackered today, so gonna stay home and take it easy, cos if go out, Jack is such hardwork crawling, standing and then eating anything he can find on the floor!! Gives me no rest, so easier at home. Next chemo is the dreaded Taxotere on 10 Oct, got 3 of them and then not sure, apart from maybe Herceptin.
Anyway, glad to see you back, no doubt you are jet lagged and sleeping it off, be a funny few days for you no doubt.
You’re doing well, and being sensible staying at home for the time being. You’re really strong and I’m sure you’ll be fine on 10th October. Of course, you’re in my thoughts and prayers as ever.
…had my op 2 weeks ago and am recovering now…
I had my results a week ago and have got to have all my milk glands and tubes etc etc out on both as they feel it isn’t safe to leave them in…Claire got the all clear and is off back at work now and is very busy trying to fit everything in.

Beano! Welcome back! So glad you had a great time in Canada! Isn’t Niagara amazing?!
Well, I had a core biopsy last week (seems like forever ago now) and got my results two days later. The lump is just a fibroadenoma! So that was a real relief to have that done with. They are leaving it in and I only have to go back if it gets bigger. I have been too scared to feel it since I took the dressing off… it’s a little bruised but healed fine. As for the areola issue… they feel that that was due to infection possibly.
So that’s my news!
Good to have you back! I feel I will hang around here and hope to encourage others going through all of the waiting and diagnosing stage.
Don’t forget you are a strong woman and with us lot right there behind you, you’ll be fine. Hang in there babe!
And, Nanny, what a relief to hear your news! It’s good to know you’ll still be around to support everyone. I think we all know how awful the waiting can be so those of us who are clear can still offer help and support. Well done; keep those positive vibes rolling!
Your trip sounded wonderful, so jealous!! I’m in the wrong job, I get to send people to all these wonderful places and dont get much chance to go myself lol!
Dont know if you know, but I got the all clear from my biopsy, yipee, and got to go back in on the 2nd with my other breast, which I sure will turn out to be nothing, but dont like being too complacent! Sure that one will come back and bite me on the @r£ lol
I did know about your brother; he passed just before I went to Canada. His, (your), family are in my prayers also. When I lost my Dad last year, my friend sent me a card that said, “Remember your Dad… and SMILE!” I think that says it all and I hope it helps. Bless you, hon.
