I have stage 4 metastatic breast cancer, spread to the lungs, liver, lymphnodes. I have had mastectomy, radiation, chemotherapy and currently on herceptin and pertuzameb. I would realy like to get a second opinion / consultation as to what my options are beyond the mainstream approaches listed above. I am thinking I have to go to a private clinic to get any second opinition and to be able to talk to someone who will be able to think outside the box. As in looking at an innovative approach, trial options, immunotherapy, vitamin C (intravenous), hyperthermia and possibly alternative approaches. However, I don’t know where to start. How to find out who is legitimate and who isn’t? Does anyone have any advice / experience with this?

The top cancer hospital in London is The Marsden (as far as I know) which you will probably be aware of already. They run trials and therefore patients who fit the trial criteria do have access to drugs that aren’t available yet. There is a centre in London called the Cancer Oncology Clinic which provides additional supplements etc alongside conventional treatment but I have no experience of it other than what I have read about them in the national papers. The other place that has come up on the forum is the clinic in Germany which offers completely different and alternative treatments.
