Firstly I hope all who read this have had a lovely day, in Devon it was beautiful and sunny all day.
Now onto the nitty gritty! I have been diagnosed with the BRACA 2 genetic mutation and as a consequence of getting this information and having had breast cancer twice** , I have decided to have my breasts removed and reconstructed. **
Unfortunately my surgeon cant use my breast skin as it has to much scaring and she worrys that the skin will die. So the only way she can give me some breasts is to take the flesh from my back.
It sounds horrendous and apparently the surgery will take 12hrs! But even with all this information I have decided to go ahead.
Has anyone had this procedure? In particular had bi lateral ld?
