Biopsies Had biopsies Left breast last thursday hopefully get results on friday. I am feeling a bit down at the moment waiting. I had R mastectomy in Dec 2005 for high grade DCIS and at the same time found a fibroadenoma and some microcalcifications which they biopsied then and they came back benign. Since then though the left breast has been changing very slightly with dimpling, a feeling of heaviness and some areola changes this is why my consultant wanted to biopsy again. I have got to a point were I feel I want this fibroadenoma removed or have another mastectomy (I know that is drastic) but I have a constant worry about this. Any help or words of advice please. I need to chat.

Just wanted to say I’m thinking about you. Hope you get your results tomorrow - waiting bit is hard, isn’t it. No wonder you are feeling down. But good that your consultant is keeping a close eye on you.

Biopsy Feel better today results show benign conditions. Not feeling any where near like last week. My Breast care nurses are wonderful and I know that I can contact them anytime should I need to. I think its time to open up another chapter and start living again.

I was diagnosed in Feb with dcis. I went for a lumpectomy and sentinol node biospsy to be told there were some cancer cells in my nodes and the margins were not clear.
I asked how it could spread if it was dcis and was told some of the lump which measured 3.5cm was invasive cancer.
Had a re-excision and axcillary clearance last weds. Waiting for the results going tommorrow afternoon.
im just really worried they will say it has spread as so far everytime we go to the hospital it seems bad news. Or maybe it will be 3rd time lucky.
