Hello cathy I had a scan and biopsy on a lump in my right breast ( it was found on my first ever mammogram! ) but I didnt know I was having one until that day so didnt have time to react!., lol… but I must say I didnt feel a thing, I had everything explained to me what was going to be happening, I didnt feel nervous at all and the doctor was very gentle which is probably why I didnt feel anything!! Lol I had my scan firstly to see exactly where she needed to give me my biopsy she then gave me a local anesthetic to numb the area then she showed me a big needle which isnt scary honestly she placed it against my breast I heard a loud ‘click’ which is the needle thingy taking a piece of the lump away… done and dusted! It was then dressed and I went back to work, it was a little sore afterwards but nothing major, but you cant lift anything for about 24hrs so with you working with small children you will have to be careful… hope this helps you cathy… xx jules xx
