Biopsy & Enlarged lymph nodes in armpit

I’m not sure what to write actually as I’m say here in a bit of a daze.

I’ve just had my appointment at the breast clinic after finding lumps in my right breast.

The consultant was concerned about the one of the lumps as he said he did not know what it was. He took a biopsy from this. He said I also have enlarged lymph nodes under my armpit and took a sample of cells from there.

I go back for my results next Thursday.

I’m thinking the worst. Why are my lymph nodes swollen? I know they can be swollen due to infection etc but it’s too much of a coincidence that I have 2 lumps in my breast and swollen nodes in my armpit.

Sick with worry and also feels like this isn’t really happening.

Has anyone ever had a lump and swollen lymph nodes and all was ok?

I’m sorry to read about the lumps your breast clinic found in your right breast and I can only hope that everything will be ok very soon.

If you are worried about your results on Thursday, please know that you can either ask questions to our nurseson our forum or email our nurses here. They should hopefully go back to you in less than a day and give you a response.
