I found a small lump two weeks ago, got it checked by gp last week and had my hospital appointment today. After forst mammogram they claled me in for additional scans of affected breast. Had an ultrsound whcih showed a black mass ,the lump, on breast and, althought the doctor didnt say anything, im pretty sure he also found something under my arm as he also took pics and measurements of a small black mass there. Biopsies taken, the doctor spoke to me before i left and again, whilst he didn’t say anything overt, his whole demeanor suggested he didnt think it looked good. I know thers no definitive answer until the results come back but im so scared. 5 years ago i had bowel cancer and just don’t want to have to go through all of that again, or.put my family through it. I know these are all normal feelings and that, even if it is cancerous there is a good chnace it is treatable but ti doesnt stop me thinking the worst.
Biopsy taken today, no real infor.ation shared but all the signs from the professionals weren't good
Hello @giraffe14 Sorry you are going through this too. I had a biopsy this week and I’m also waiting for results. It’s a nightmare isn’t it? Not much advice I can give but I’ve been told (and agree with) to avoid googling and only use reputable sights for up to date information. There’s lots of information on here but again it’s easy to go down a rabbit hole and overwhelm yourself. Feel whatever you need to feel and I hope you get a good outcome. X
@twinks77 thank you for your kind response. Ive been avoiding all googling for the reasons you say. Until i get results thers no point second guessing. Sorry to hear you are also in the same boat, lets hope for a good outcome for both of us! X
Hi giraffe14, just wanted to send lots of hugs this is such a horrible time the waiting. No one will ever know how you feel unless they go through it too.
I wish you the best and whatever the outcome of your results you can deal with it xxxxxx
Got the nest phone call today, biopsy results are back and dicussed at MDT and they are all clear! So relieved. Wan to do anothe runltrasound in 3 months to double check, but feel like a massive weight has been lifted!
