Bit morbid but .....

Hi

This is a bit morbid but does anybody know what happens to any debts you have if you die ? ! Such as loans, credits cards etc. - do they get written off or left to partners and family to clear ?

Hi Liz

I think you need to check with each lender but I know that credit card debts do not die with you unless you have some sort of payment protection.I think they have to be paid out of your estate but it is probably worth checking with each company
Maybe Macmillan support may be able to advise you
Best wishes

Hi Liz,

If I post a link to a site that I think might be able to help it will probably be removed under the new terms and conditions even though it is a charity.

So please try searching on the Internet for consumer credit counselling. If you find the right site (you should) you can ask them the question for free.

Hi Margaret

Links to recognised charities and relevant partners are not a problem to post here under the new Terms and Conditions, so you are welcome to add the link.

Thanks
