Blip at end of rads resolved.....

Hallo ladies - my “blip” at end of rads at end of 2009 now resolved and hopefully it will encourage you that it’s not all down-hill for us IBC ladies.

Although I received the news that what I thought was a recurrence of dormant osteoarthritis in my hip was in fact, active bone secondaries, a full body bone scan revealed that there has been an overall improvement to bone secondaries in skull, spine, ribs and rest of pelvis and no new sites.

CT scan report came back yesterday (it was not available for the onc app on Mond 25th - bit nail-biting!) & showed that there has been no further progression of disease in internal organs and so no revision of exisiting treatment proposed; Tamoxifen & bisphosphonates doing what they expect them to do.

After 9 months, I am looking forward to 3 months without having to see the inside of a hospital & being able to make a few plans! Hubby taking me away for a few days soon just because I can now!

Just picked up 3 months supply of drugs this morning after I popped in to see Dee Dee over the road in the private hospital who is doing well after her mastectomy.

Very best wishes to all xxx
