Blogs?

Wondering if there’s anybody doing long form blogging in the UK about their diagnosis. All I’ve found so far are doctors selling breast surgery and the various charities rather than individuals writing publicly about their own experiences.

Has everything moved to videos and Instagram? Or have I failed to find good search terms?

Hi @josetterussell. Many people are sharing their thoughts across many outlets but I thought you might find this thread useful from people feeling sharing their own blogs or others that were helpful to them: https://forum.breastcancernow.org/c/coffee-lounge/speaking-and-writing-about-your-experiences/57

Hope this is helpful in some way.

Best wishes,

Hi, have a look for anything by Dr Liz O’Riordan, a retired breast cancer surgeon who has herself had breast cancer 3 times. She has written several books, has podcasts and is on instagram. She gives expert advice with genuine empathy and understanding. She’s certainly helped me since my diagnosis and throughout the last 4 years.

Hi @josetterussell,

We have quite a few blogs to read on our website Personal stories | Breast Cancer Now

However, if that’s not quite what you’re looking for - I think Substack is where a lot of bloggers have moved to these days.

You might be able to find some here Search “breast cancer” on Substack
