blue green algae

Does anyone know anything about this?

Thanks

Only that it is one of many substances for which much is claimed. I would be cautious about relying on it alone.

Hi
I bought this as featured in ms mckeiths book, in the midst of my hyper health kick that followed diagnosis. I have a mega juicer and was enjoying a juice every morning, nurse astounded at how quickly my wounds healed, I’m sure down to this…anyway!!
I added blue green algae to the juice for 2 or 3 days, yuk, bleagh! Never mind if its doing you good methinks, looks it up online, lots of claims made about its wonderous properties, but one article actually said that because of its amazing properties it would encourage growth of tumour. So now it lies in the drawer full of stuff that cannot be thrown out, because they cost too much, but can’t be used either!
Looking forward to it passing its sell by date so I can throw it out!

It’s one of those products that people are quite happy to make claims about and sell you without knowing exactly what chemo. drug you are on or without knowing details of your tumour.
there was another discussion on this type of thing a few weeks back.

take care

Pauline

I’ve just been reading about blue green algae too and decided to read the forum.

Wizzbaby: Could you point me at the other discussion as I’ve searched the forum for Algae and can’t find it :frowning:

Cheers

Angie

There is a sign at Crosby beach saying there is blue and green algae in the water so don’t let you dog go in…Hmmmm

Is that just so your dog doesn’t adversely affect the income of those cashing in on harvesting the algae? Is this the same as Spirulina or Chlorella, wonder-supplements extraordinaire (or not)?

…and we all know what goes into the sea…!
