Bone density scan Hi all,

I have my first bone density scan on the 15th - my gynae wanted me to have it straight after my oophorectomy in March but I got caught up in the end-of-financial-year and no money left NHS mess!

Still, better late than never…

Has anyone here had a bone density scan before? What should I expect? Feeling a bit nervous about it…

Hi Helen Thanks for the info - glad it’s nothing to get nervous about. Sorry to hear your scan showed osteopenia & hope the Arimidex isn’t doing too much damage. I’m already taking vitamin D and calcium tablets, and although I’m a vegan, I do try to buy things with added calcium (soya milk, etc).
