Bone Pain and Letrozole

Just wondering how long might it take for side effects to go after stopping Letrozole?  Asking for my daughter who only started taking this medication recently in conjunction with Zoladex monthly injections.  After 2 months, she has stopped taking the Letrozole due to ongoing bone pain in her spine.  She has been having the injections since she was first diagnosed without major issue, but the letrozole only introduced in June after completing all active treatment.  So far, 3 weeks after stopping letrozole the pain is still the same - a constant pain not relieved by either rest or exercise.  The Oncologist thinks it could be due to the lack of oestrogen.  Not having any protection is a major worry obviously, but she cannot continue like this.  Anyone else had this problem, and how did you manage it?  Thank you

Has your daughter spoken to Oncologist about trying Tamoxifen instead if you are worried about not being on hormone meds - it is often less harsh on the bones and joints and can be taken pre and post menopause .I hope things settle down for her soon .Jill x
