Well, I had a mammogram and an ultra sound on my remaining boob and also over the area where I used to have one. Very good but I still have pain in the boob. I didn’t think that anything would show up but I still don’t have an answer as to why I have the same feeling in the good boob as I did in the sick one.
It is just about a year now since I last had a full nights sleep.
Hi Boo,
I went through the same thing, had mammogram and was all clear but I still get pain in good boob. Mine after the chemo used to get worse, and felt lumpy, could not lie that side in bed but then it would settle a bit… Our bodies have taken a battering so I reckon it will take time for it to get out of our systems. Do you take anything to help you sleep? I am not one for sleeeping aids, but I do take a mild one now, it works and I dont feel groggy or tired the following morning. I like you was not getting much sleep, so maybe worth considering short term. Hope this has helped a little Boo and your pain lessens. Take Care
Hope you are ok. I’ve been on this site a few times trying to see if I can find you to see how you are and this is my first message since 2nd November (my last FEC). Things seem to be going ok at the moment started Tamox 19 December after our long awaited cancelled and rebooked summer (in the winter) holiday!! We had a week in Fuerteventura at beginning Dec it was bliss just what the Dr ordered. Still have “off” days and days when I feel like screaming at people (husband mainly) because they seem to forget what you’ve been through the last 8 months just because you have a bit more hair and look slightly more normal than you did 2 months ago!! Anyway I had a double mastectomy (back in June) and if its any help I still get slight pain in that area, and like Jil said I think it’s because of what surgery your body has been through - and its certainly been through a lot! What treatment are you on now? Like I said I am on Tamox for 5 years now - seems to be ok but the sweats can be a bit of a nightmare - clothes all off in 5 seconds flat!!! Seem to feel the cold the rest of the time so I’m assuming that’s how it works…bummer!!!
Take care
