Bra… after the post surgery bra?!?!?

Hi

I’m 8 weeks post op, tumour removed, lymph node biopsy and reduction/reconstruction to both breasts.

I have worn post surgery bras for the last 8 weeks, I do still have some tenderness and pain but not to the same levels a few weeks ago.

What bra do I use now? Do I continue with post surgery or does anyone recommend a specific bra?

I can’t imagine wearing a wired bra, not sure I ever will but I feel I can move to the next step… whatever that may be.

I am starting 19 sessions of radiotherapy in two weeks time so want to be comfortable.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

I have not had my surgery yet, but bought these which I am using during treatment- they are SO soft, dry quickly and are just incredibly comfy. I’m planning on hopefully wearing them after surgery as well. They also do a pack with two black ones in. My mum has had breast cancer and has scars from her surgery- she’s started wearing these as well. Hope that helps;

Thank you!

I’ll take a look at them.

I bought some front fastening post op bras from Amazon which were brilliant better than the ones I looked at, at John Lewis and M&S and half the price I just know that I need to look for the next step.

Wishing you all the best of luck with your surgery.. you’ve got this :flexed_biceps:t2::white_heart:

@mrsh80 i brought similar to those in M&S body range, soft non wired and comfy! I did wear my post surgery bras for a long time though…but think it’s just what’s comfortable for you x

@mrsh80 I got the M&S post surgery bras link below. Started wearing them at getting close to week 9 post surgery. Ive built up gradually to finding it comfortable to wear all day over the space of a week. Theyre so cheap as well they make a good bra to transition to something a bit prettier. Itll definitely be a while before im back in wired bras. Xx. Jasmine Lace Non Wired Post Surgery Bra (A-E) | M&S | M&S
