Bra frustration

Hi everyone,

I’m new on here, I’m sorry if this seems a trivial post. I had a lumpectomy and reduction in March, just finished radiotherapy last week.

I’m looking for a bra that has normal straps and a middle that isn’t massive, all the full support bras are very cumbersome (my opinion) I have quite a few V neck top which I am now struggling to wear because you can always see either the wide straps of middle bit of bra.

Do we have to wear these kinds of bras or can we go back to wearing normal non underwired bras or even underworld if we feel comfortable enough.

Thanks in advance for any advice

Hello Lozza, nothing trivial about getting a bra that fits properly!  Having run the gamut of available types, have decided the best bras are the ones I already had, but I put extenders at the back.  I did find underwired ones were uncomfortable as they dug into scarring, but then pulled out the wire on that side and it was ok. I’m now 3 years on and just bought M&S masectomy bras (I had lumpectomy) as they are padded and I’ve gone down from a C cup to an A - even my good side seems to fit - I can’t explain it as my weight has rocketed up not down.  March is not that long ago, so you might find you will keep needing adjustments - hope you find something you like. :cathappy:xxx
