bras a year after surgery

I know in the grand scheme of things this seems unimportant and I’m immensely grateful to have both boobs…it’s just that… almost a year since my lumpectomy and lymph node removal and to begin with all I could hear on me was a crop top. Then I progressed to debenhams post surgery which I still wear.So comfortable as it’s moulded, no seams full coverage etc.I love it but a year later I would love to move onto something that gives me a better silhouette.I get very fed up when I see my shape now.Since my kidney removal too I have a big stomach that won’t get smaller and a weight gain of a stone. My little bras were lacey balconette padded jobs in a B cup…laughable when I see them now.I need a full cup where nothing drops out or bulges out.I kind of looked ok in the summer when I wore dresses that were buttoned fronts and flared out but trying on jumpers now I just feel so frumpy as my bra doesn’t exactly flatter my lumpy shape. If I wear loose jumpers for my hot flushes I feel so shapeless.A pretty uplifting bra makes all the difference but I haven’t been able to bear anything cutting or digging in.Does anyone get back to wearing more flattering bras and is there a shape or make you start with? My blobs look massive but in an old lady way! Again, I know I’m lucky to have them both.I just hate this shape I have now.

Hi treeze

I had the same dilemma a few months back!

Many ladies on here recommend M & S and also Asda. But I could never find anything that remotely fitted my shape. So I went to Debenhams like you. I found a wireless, lacy number that fits really well, considering I now have one boob bigger than the other! It was from the debenhams collection. And they were lots of other designs too.

Happy shopping!
