bras post construction

HI I am  wanting to buy a post reconstruction surgery bra, iam roughly a 36e, the ones from john lewis and m&s stop at dd i would like something attractive any ideas where i could buy one  Also if you go to the shops do they still measure you? One final point any hints for disguising a rather strange shaped chest, at the moment one is smaller and much higher than the other I suppose no one notices, but i do spring is coming and I cannot hide in a fleece

Hi Bella60

While you are waiting for replies could I suggest that you give our free helpline a ring on 0808 800 6000 and have a chat with one of the breast care nurses who may be able to help, lines are open Monday to Friday 9.00 – 5.00 and Saturday 10.00 – 2.00.

Best wishes

Hii, I’m not sure where you live, but it found a small local lingerie shop, near to me. They are a bit more expensive than bigger stores, but their customer service was great and they were very used to dealing with post surgery customers. It may be worth seeing if there is somewhere similar to you.
Good luck

Hi Bella

I’ve just responded to Cotts in the other recent Bra thread in this section. Have a look. I don’t know where you are in the country, but you ideally need somewhere that provides a specialist fitting service, as opposed to a “normal” lingerie shop fitter, that aren’t so geared up to post op BC ladies. There are still a few shops dotted around the country. Or as I suggested to Cotts - check back at your breast unit and or with a BCN as to whether they have specialist fitters coming in for sessions. With ref to your lobsidedness, there may be certain small prosthetics/chicken fillets to insert into your bra to help level them up. Were you not offered surgery to correct?

Hope this is of some help. Good luck with it and hope you’re doing well.

Lotsa love Delly xxx
