Ladies, I need your help (again) I’ve just has mx with expander implant and breast reduction on good breast (3 Weeks ago) and Im having so much trouble finding an appropriate bra.
Not one of my extensive bra collection, is right. This problem is compounded by still not knowing exactly what size I am, although I have been measured by the breast nurse.
I need to lift, seperate, compress and support, have no underwires and, I need it to feel soft, and I also need one with adjustable straps…arghhh!!! Am I asking too much? Can anyone point me in the right direction.
I’d also like an answer to this question! I had LD flap recon in November and have worn sports bras ever since. Now I am told I can wear a non-underwired bra. Have I found a nice one … no … I am 41 and do not want one like my gran had thank you very much (apologies in advance to my gran)…
Thanks, as always
Rachel.
try pretty in pink, they advertise on facebook and the bras are lovely and so feminine .also try the just for girls website ,comes in all sizes and fabulous packaging too .
I got myself measured properly at John Lewis, they have a specialist bra fitter for post-surgery women at each of their shops. I bought a Royce post-mastectomy bra from there, lightly padded, no underwires, soft cotton jersey lining, with pockets. Really comfy! I’ve since bought a couple more Royce bras from their website (royce-lingerie.co.uk), hoping they would fit the same as the other one, and they did. So now I don’t even have to slog round the shops, marvellous!

Hi Sarah, I’m glad you feel good about your bras! Last week as a special treat I went to Rigby and Pellers and they fitted me with two lovely non-wired soft bras and they were no more expensive than most high street bras. It’s good to know you can still feel special in underwear post-breast surgery.
Super - thank you so much. Will have to have a trip to Bluewater to Rigby and Pellers, didn’t even think to look in there!
