Breast cancer and ill-fitting bras?

I’ve just read an interesting article from another forum containing breast cancer advice, were a lady was saying how she felt wear ill-fitting bras, throughout her younger days; had contributed to her getting lumps in her breasts and DCIS.

How does anyone else feel about this subject ?

Could wearing ill-fitting bras lead to a woman getting breast cancer ?

I would be interested to hear other opinions on this subject.

I suppose the question is HOW could they contribute to getting breast cancer? Is she suggesting they cause trauma or something to the breast?

There is no evidence that wearing ill fitting bras contributes to breast cancer, and since most women don’t wear the right size this is a good thing

Hi All

Just to endorse Molennium’s post, there is no clinical evidence to support the theory that wearing the wrong bra size can be a risk factor in developing breast cancer.
