Breast cancer then thyroid cancer?

Hi All
Just wondering any of you have had a thyroid cancer diagnosis within the ‘5 year’ that is the norm?
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in January 2022 and had chemo, mastectomy, radiotherapy and then chemo again. Fast forward to August of this year and it seems I now have thyroid cancer and just wondered if anyone else had as apparently thyroid cancer is quite rare!?!
Thank you in advance x

Hi
I’ve had the other way around! I had thyroid cancer 16 years ago and was diagnosed with breast cancer last month, following a routine mammogram. I hope you’re doing ok x

Me too - thyroid cancer 11 years ago and breast cancer in 2023 , Hope you are ok , the thyroid cancers are usually easily treatable :crossed_fingers:

Sorry to hear that. Hope your treatment isn’t too invasive and they’ve caught it early.
Take care & good luck x

Hi
Thanks for replying. Hope your treatment is going well or hopefully finished! Had another biopsy as the previous was inconclusive and my lymph node has swollen so one has been taken from there. Back on Thursday for the results although the consultant has already said he wants to take it out! (Asked if he can do a neck lift while he’s there )
Take care x

Excellent idea - I could do with a neck lift too! Hope all goes well xx
