Hi I have a condition called neurofibromatosis and I have found a lump on my left breast and it’s very painful I went to the doctors yesterday and I’ve been referred to the breast clinic what tests do they do and what will happen next? I’m scared to death as my grandma died of this disease
Hi Hannah, sorry you find yourself here. I’m afraid I don’t know anything about your specific condition but the good thing is that you are taking action to have it investigated. Your breast unit may take scans and biopsies to check out what’s happening in there. Try not to think about your Gran’s situation as everyone is different and treatments have improved. Waiting for scans can be quite an anxious time, I know that. I had breast cancer 2 years ago and I’m now cancer-free and still going strong.
