Hi
In the last 6 months I’ve noticed dimpling under my left nipple only from side view arms up or leant forward. I also have a pea size lump in right breast. Have a hospital appointment a week today.
Is anyone able to comment on my picture please and is this possibly BC? My right side was scanned a few years ago unfortunately tho they said they suspected a cyst no further tests were done nor was it in the letter. Thanks
We are not cancer diagnosis specialists, more experts in experiencing treatments first hand and ways of continuing our lives. You are trying pre-emt the outcome. I get it, we’ve all been there, but really, there’s no guessing beforehand. It doesn’t get you anywhere, but it does time fill the mind, that is understandably preoccupied by all things cancer related and drives us to obsession these moments. This is why you are at one of the hardest points in the journey, waiting for results is excruciating, unfortunately there is no jumping shortcut to the answers.
Distraction from obsession, by whatever works best for you to take your mind off it might help. Whether its being with friends, family or (in my case) C25K ( I was half way through it when I got diagnosed). The gym became my fighting back at it, work off the angst, place, and was a better use of my time.

Also, well done on spotting that, as its less obvious than a lump. You’ve done the right thing getting it checked out properly. Thats the big important first step to take at anything that looks suspicious.

Glad your getting it checked out ,all changes should be checked , worst part is waiting for results , sometimes lumps are benign not always cancer .

Thank you! I appreciate the advice and you’re completely right. I’ll try and be more open minded and worrying doesn’t fast track anything just takes away the here and now. Thanks a lot and I will update xx

Just a thought…are you ok with your pick being used on other parts of the Internet? Ok if so, just checking as this is a pretty open forum so anyone could access it. If you don’t mind that as nothing distinguishing on the pic as such, thats fine as long as considered that anyone could take a screen-shot and stick it wherever.
